| I just finished my final journal for Cinema and instead of doing the other hwk i'm supposed to do before my rendez-vous i figured a xanga post was in order. I can't believe i only have three weeks left in paris! That's crazy man. After my program i'm heading over to england for three weeks but i'll be back in the states June 5 and probably ready to party June 7. I have to get a job...I guess i'll work for stein mart comme tousjours but i really don't want to go back to working at P Hut too stressful for shitty food. I think i need a more relaxed summer anyway after working so damn much to save up for Study Abroad. Spring Break was a lot of fun; but a little tiring. It feels good to be back home though the shit pile of hwk is pouring down on me. Hopefully this weekend i'll be able to finish most of my work so i can somewhat relax finals week (my non paper writing exams are all on the first day of finals)...but i doubt that'll happen. My parents and sister are coming in two weeks which is crazy. It's going to be mega weird going back to the states and please forgive me if all i talk about is paris for a year or two or three. Well time for my rendez-vous ciao bella! | | |
| So, i'm leaving tomorrow for my two week spring break....it's going to be wooooooonderful! I'm going to be spending 10 days in moroco with some chicas and 1 guy from IES (the popularity of studying abroad in france guy to girl ratio is pretty impressive). Next i am flying back to paris and finally getting some ass....I CAN'T WAIT...i hope i still know how to do it...meh...i'll struggle through it or something. Then to london to spend some quality time with the family and casey. Then 4 day weekend in Amsterdam with my baby :o) than back to Paris where paper writing is going to attack me and eat me alive...if i don't make any internet style movements in the next month, now you know why...but i'm sure a myspace survey will be completed at a moment of procrastination of writing (which will be a total of around 50 pages in french once all the papers are added together aaaargh!) | | |

| So news of the protests has reached American newspapers...i figured hey i'll read the ny times article about this issue, see what the americans think and i read this paragraph
Any significant weakening of the law will represent a serious blow to the prime minister, who hopes to run for president next year. It will also signal another defeat in France's long struggle to break the stranglehold of its rigid social-welfare system, which economists say has kept growth sluggish and unemployment high for decades. While there is no guarantee that the new law will create jobs, as the government contends, bowing to student and union pressure on it will call into question the current administration's ability to restructure the system.
and this is considered "liberal media"????? Damn...it's going to be scary going back to the US...well if Villepin does run and win next year, the the americans hating the french thing might change...i don't know if bill o'reilly still has his little boycott going on, but he better study up on french politics because soon he's going to have to find another country to boycott....like maybe...Madagascar? | | |
